  • Check the vehicles under hood fluid levels and remove the oil fill cap and breather assemblies (where applicable) Remove the vehicles engine oil drain plug, and drain the contents of the engines oil pan or sump. Remove the filter assembly and clean the sealing surfaces of the housing for reinstallation. On cartridge equipped vehicles, replace the housing O rings and clean the debris from the housing and relief valves. Lubricate the O rings on the housing and or the filter assembly and replace the filter or element. Clean and inspect the oil drain plug gasket, and check the threads in the engines oil pan. Torque the plug to the manufacturers specification using a new gasket where required. Clean the grease zerks to remove debris, and lubricate all accessible fittings on the vehicles steering, suspension, driveline and chassis components. Check and or set the tire pressures and relearn the TPMS system where required. Fill the engine with the manufacturers specified type, grade, and viscosity engine oil and verify level after purging the new filter. Check and or top off all low fluid levels and reset the maintenance reminder system where applicable. Note. Some vehicles maintenance reminders do not take on initial reset. • Install data scanner and engine analyzer. Run tests on the fuel, ignition, and computer control systems. Retrieve fault codes from the processors memory. Codes exist in the system for P0442 evap system small leak detected, P0496 evap system flow during non-purge. Perform all necessary pin point tests checking the wiring, grounds, relays, and related circuit components to isolate the problem to the purge valve is not functioning properly. Clean the exterior connections of the vehicle's EVAP system plumbing connections to ensure no debris enters the system during replacement. Remove the supply lines and vehicle's electrical connectors and clean and tighten the terminal ends as well as the plumbing connections to be attached to the replacement components. Using low air pressure, back flush the system to remove any dust or dirt within the system's plumbing. (evap components are exposed to atmosphere to vent the system which eventually causes debris intrusion.) Install the replacement valve and secure into its factory location. Apply lubricant to the plumbing connections and reconnect the electrical and vacuum components. Reset the computer systems memory and install leak detection equipment. Pressurize the system with Nitrogen to the factory's specification and perform a full system leak test. Confirm that the system has no detected leaks and is operating within specifications. Run the vehicle to operating temperature and check the computer data to confirm that the system is operating properly following repairs.

  • Remove all components necessary in order to gain access to the engine mounts. Remove all attaching hardware for the mounts and raise the engine slightly in order to remove the engine mounts. Remove the mount from the vehicle and install the new mounts into position and tighten all hardware to specification. Lower the engine back into position and center the driveline. Install all previously removed components back to original configuration and road test the vehicle.
  • Hook the vehicle to the brake fluid exchange machine and completely flush all of the old contaminated fluid from the vehicle while installing brand new DOT 3/4 fluid. Vacuum bleed the system to remove any air in the system to ensure proper braking characteristics are maintained. Road test the vehicle to confirm repairs and check for leaks. NOTE: All brake adjustments and fluids are included with the service price.

  • Check all components in the blower speed circuit to determine why the blower motor only operates on the highest setting. Perform tests on the switch, wiring, blower motor and resistor. Determined that the blower motor resistor is faulty and will require replacement. Remove any interior panels in order to gain access to the blower motor resistor. Remove the electrical connector from the resistor. Remove and replace the resistor and install any previously removed interior components back to original configuration. Clean and tighten the electrical terminals to ensure a proper connection is made. Reconnect the blower motor resistors electrical plug using di-electric grease and check all blower speeds to verify correct operation.
  • Replace block heater wiring.
  • Remove the air intake hose from the plenum chamber and disassemble the filter housing. Remove the existing engine air filter and vacuum the inside of the filter housing. Install the replacement filter and resecure the air intake pipes to the plenum chamber.
  • Road test vehicle and check for brake pulsation, brake noise, wheel alignment pull, steering wheel centering, suspension stability, tire balance condition, transmission shifting and or clutch engagement, and engine performance concerns. Visually inspect tires for wear resulting from alignment, or balance problems. Check front and rear suspension components for wear at all visible bushings, pivots, sockets, and joints. Check the condition of all drive belts, radiator hoses, heater hoses, brake hoses, and verify level and condition of engine coolant is good. Check engine, transmission, final drive, and differentials for any oil leaks. Check CV drive axle boots for cracks or tears. Check ignition system components consisting of […]

  • Lubricate the steering column components to stop the noise. If the problem persists the vehicle should be returned for additional testing.
  • Remove necessary shields to access the pressure ports. Install manifold gauges and monitor systems static and dynamic system pressures. Check all air conditioning electrical system components including switch, relays, and pressure switches. Add refrigerant to the system if necessary for leak testing and inject the system with luminescent dye. Check the system for refrigerant leaks using dye detection equipment. Check hoses, clamps, evaporator drain, condenser, receiver dryer, and expansion valve for leaks. There were no significant leaks found at this time although the receiver dryer appears deteriorated and also they are known for leaks. The customer should return for additional testing if the system gets warm again.

  • NOTE: The front bumper components are pushed back towards the engine and were rubbing the lower radiator hose which made it fail prematurely. The front bumper was removed (which was only held on by 2 bolts) to access the radiator/air conditioning components to try and reposition them to prevent contact with the engine components. There was a piece of plastic holding the radiator and condenser towards the engine which was removed and now there is sufficient clearance between the hose and radiator. The customer stated that the vehicle was going to a body shop for repairs so the front bumper was left off and placed in the back of the vehicle. Drain engine coolant and flush system in both directions with water to remove sediment. Hook flush equipment to the vehicles cooling system and forward and reverse flush radiator, heater core, heater control valve, and engine block. Remove the vehicles overflow container and wash out debris. Reinstall overflow and top off to capacity. Run engine on the flush equipment until the engine coolant is clean and the acidity is at an acceptable level. Top off cooling system to capacity with specified amount and type of new engine coolant. Run engine to circulate coolant and check freeze point and acidity to insure a proper mixture is in the system. Run engine to operating temperature and purge air from system. Check to verify that the electric cooling fans are operating within their specified temperature range. Check system for leaks and road test. If the system develops an air pocket, the coolant level may decrease slightly. If this occurs, the customer should return to have the system topped off. NOTE: The engine coolant had a large amount of sludge inside which appears to be intermixed coolant and oil which is a sign there has been an internal failure. It is recommended that this vehicle be addressed for this issue due to the overheating possibilities or with all of the repair work that is needed, it may just be cost effective to purchase another vehicle.
