    Services Performed
    • Remove front brackets, adjusters, and pulleys necessary to access the accessory belt components. Remove the engines serpentine and or V style drive belts, and clean and lubricate any idlers, pivots, or tensioner assemblies for later reassembly. Clean the pulley grooves to remove built up rubber and debris that will cause premature wear / noise issues with the belt(s). Check all accessories, idlers, and tensioners for bearing deflection while apart for the replacement of the power steering pump. The primary tensioner was replaced due to improper tension. Clean the exterior of the power steering pump housing at the lines attachment points to prevent foreign material from entering the system. Disconnect the pressure and return lines at the pump. Clean the threads on the lines and flush the system to remove any contaminants that may have been dispersed through the system from the faulty pump, age, and or normal wear. Remove the pump and transfer the reservoir from the old pump to the new pump housing where applicable. Install the new pump onto its mount and torque to specification. Reattach the pressure and return lines to the new pump using new sealing washers or gaskets as required. Reinstall the accessory drive and or serpentine belt(s) and reassemble the removed components. Fill the power steering system with the specified amount and type of new steering fluid and purge the air from the system. Install new serpentine drive belts, and run the engine to check for proper operation of the idler and tensioner pulleys. Verify belt deflection and alignment of the engines accessories, and lock all manually adjusted tensioners as required. Road test the vehicle to verify correct operation of the power steering system and recheck the system for the correct fluid level as well as to ensure there are no leaks from the power steering pump.
    • The vehicles Steering pump is wet at its front seal, and has a slight reservoir leak at the pump body. Due to age and deterioration, the most cost effective approach is to replace the pump with a new unit. Issues with the main tensioner and drive belts were uncovered during diagnostics. See below for replacement of the required components.

    • Check the vehicles under hood fluid levels and remove the oil fill cap and breather assemblies (where applicable) Remove the vehicles engine oil drain plug, and drain the contents of the engines oil pan or sump. Remove the filter assembly and clean the sealing surfaces of the housing for reinstallation. On cartridge equipd vehicles, replace the housing O rings and clean the debris from the housing and relief valves. Lubricate the O rings on the housing and or the filter assembly and replace the filter or element. Clean and inspect the oil drain plug gasket, and check the threads in the engines oil pan. Torque the plug to the manufacturers specification using a new gasket where required. Clean the grease zerks to remove debris, and lubricate all accessible fittings on the vehicles steering, suspension, driveline and chassis components. Check and or set the tire pressures and relearn the TPMS system where required. Fill the engine with the manufactures specified type, grade, and viscosity engine oil and verify level after purging the new filter. Check and or top off all low fluid levels and reset the maintenance reminder system where applicable. Note. Some vehicles maintenance reminders do not take on initial reset. If your maintenance light happens to come on following an oil service, please give us a call so we can correct it.

    • The power steering lines are deteriorated and leaking fluid. All lines as well as the cooler show signs of deterioration and should be replaced. The transmission lines are leaking as well and should be replaced in their entirety. All lines for the steering system were removed along with the cooler. The pump flushed, and the lines and cooler assembly replaced with new O rings. Following repairs the system was again flushed and topped off with new power steering fluid. Remove the air box and or upper and lower deflector assemblies to gain access to the transmission cooler lines. Remove all hardware and clamps necessary to remove the cooler lines from the vehicles drive line components. Remove the protector tabs from the radiator, auxiliary cooler, and transmission assembly, and clean the exterior of the connections to prevent foreign material from entering the system. Remove the lock / retainer clips and release the cooler lines from their components. Inspect the sockets and clips for damaged or leaking O rings that would prevent sealing of the replacement lines. Install the new cooler lines and fit into position engaging all retaining clips, and reinstalling the lock tabs. Reinstall the bracketry to secure the lines into their factory locations. Reinstall the air box and or deflectors, and top off the transmission to the proper level with the proper type automatic transmission fluid. Road test the vehicle to verify correct operation of the transmission and check for leaks.
    • Disassemble the rear left door panel and interior components to access the exterior handle. Remove the existing handle and reshape the bent clips caused from the handle failure. Replace the handle with a new unit, and adjust all rods and linkages. Reassemble the door after lubricating the internal components and verify that the latch is properly adjusted.

    Services Performed
    • Remove faults from the system for issues with the circuit for the evap control. check all actuators and solenoids and confirm all are within limits. Check the vehicles harness and wiring components and found excessive resistance on the control circuit from the vehicles computer. Isolate and repair the damaged wiring section (corroded) and weather seal the repaired section. Reset the systems memory and run a full system test to ensure all components are operating properly.
