Services Performed
- Perform an initial evaluation of the vehicle checking fluid levels, and any other noticeable abnormalities before starting the engine. Upon start up, verify that the engine light is not flashing, and that there are no catastrophic indications of issues (low or no oil pressure, excessive mechanical noises, etc). Install the data scanner / engine analyzer, and road test the vehicle to confirm the issue and record pertinent data. Run full diagnostic tests on the fuel, ignition, and computer control systems to isolate any issues pertaining to the issue. Perform all necessary pin point tests checking the wiring, grounds, relays, and related components. There are no codes in the system although the vehicle feels sluggish. Recommend replacing the air filters and cleaning the throttle body before any further testing can be completed.
- Remove front steering and suspension components necessary to access the front hub assembly. Remove spindle and press out the existing hub and bearing assembly. Clean spindle bore and check for warpage. Install new both rear wheel bearings. Press the existing hub assembly into the new bearing and set the ABS wheel speed sensor air gap, if necessary. Torque spindle mounting flange to specification and reinstall removed components. On ABS and or traction control vehicles, install data scanner and reset computer memory. Road test vehicle and verify that the ABS and traction control circuits are all within parameters.
