- Mask the vehicle and progressively remove the crazed plastic material from the head lamp covers using increasingly higher grit levels of abrasive. Make several passes of each level until the damaged surface is improved. Use a cutting compound in a liquid form as the final procedure, and high speed buff the lenses. Apply a protective carnauba sealer to the lenses, and clean the residual material from the cutting process. Level the vehicle and set up the projection aligner. Remove built up debris from the adjustment cams (where accessible) and lubricate the adjustment pivots. Perform both horizontal and vertical adjustments to the vehicles headlights on both the high and low beam settings. Reassemble any removed covers and shields to their factory positions.
